Mallory's 4th Birthday

Somehow Mallory turned 4 this February, so we had to commemorate that with some photos.

Just so everyone is clear, she was turning 4.

 Here is her sassy pose.

And her silly face pose.

And with her new coat, one of her birthday presents.  She looks like such a young lady, where did the time go?

Plymouth Fire and Ice Festival

Our schedules finally worked so that we were able to go to the Plymouth Fire and Ice Festival, a big ole party on frozen Parkers Lake.

First off, the girls got a snowmobile ride.

Then Mallory got to try out some ice fishing.  Unfortunately the fish weren't biting.

Daddy got to take Mallory on a ride on some Swedish chair/sled contraption.

Of course, Mom and Sophie got jealous so Dad got to give rides to the whole family.

After that, Dad needed a breather, so Mallory got to go on a fun dog sled ride.

Sophie's Hip Brace

After a couple month's Sophie got out of her permanent brace and into one only to be worn during bedtime.

Believe it or not, this was quite an improvement in the comfort department.  She had to wear this until she was 6 months old.

And when she needed a helping hand getting to bed, big sister was right there to help out.

Dad and his Girls

Dad wasn't about to let Nama Betty have all the fun.

When Steve was able to pry Sophie away from her, he got some hugs from his favorite girls.

It didn't take Mallory long to break away and strike a sassy pose.

Nama Betty

Back in January, Nama Betty stayed with us for a couple days.

She turned out to be quite the good helper and spent a good amount of the time holding Sophie.

But I don't think Nama Betty minded too much.

In her "free time", she tried on her new winter hat with Mallory.  Samesies!!!

And even got to see some of the other grandkids.

Purple Jammies

Once Sophie got out of her permanent brace, she was able to wear normal clothes again.

This meant she was able to wear some of the cute jammies that people had gotten her.

Coincidentally, Mallory had the exact same pair.

Nothing like some sisterly cuddles before heading off to bed.

Gopher Hockey

One of Mallory's favorite activities is going to Gopher hockey games.  So naturally it didn't take long for her to introduce Sophie to Mariucci Arena.

Despite not facing the game action, Sophie seemed to be enjoying herself enough.

She got to hang out a bit with Papa Larry...

...and big sister, of course.
