Arbor Lakes Festival

Each May, the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove puts on a rather large weekend festival in the parking lots of the businesses. There are plenty of activities for the kiddies including:

A petting zoo.

Art projects.

(with a little help from Dad)

Face painting.

And horsey-back rides from Dad.

Driving Range

With the start of the golf season right around the corner, Dad and Mallory wanted to head out to the driving range to shake off the rust from a long off season.

Pretty good finish here, watching that 7 iron fly right at the flag.

Set-up looks pretty good as well...

...although we might have to work on the footwork a bit.

Easter 2011

During Easter, Mallory's egg hunting skills were again put to the test.

She isn't having many problems covering the Held backyard though.

After closer examination, Dad confirms that it is an Easter Egg. That is why he gets paid the big bucks.

Look at all those eggs!

Driving

With only a short distance between Nama Betty's house and Butch/Diane's, Dad figured it was about time Mallory learned how to drive.
Hands aren't quite at 10 and 2, but we can work on it.

Checking the speedometer to make sure she isn't breaking any laws (other than driving at the age of 3)

We made it, safe and sound.

Dynamite - Part II

More dancing to her new favorite song - this time she breaks out the "Brian Murray Dance".

Dynamite - Part I

Mallory's favorite new song is "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz. Here she is breaking out some of her dance moves.

Nama Betty's 90th Birthday

In April, Steve's Grandma (aka Nama Betty) turned 90, so the whole family went down to celebrate.

She was showered with all sorts of presents.

And we used the opportunity to get some quick photos with Nama Betty and Papa Ig.

Mallory was all smiles...

And even got to spend some time with her cousin Ethan.

Goldy Run

Back in April, Steve and Poppa Jim signed up for the Goldy Run, at 5K at the U of M. And of course Mallory got to participate in Goldy's Gallop, a 1k run for kids.

While the boys were busy running, Mallory put on her race outfit and bib.

Shortly after crossing the finish line, an appearance on the jumbotron.

Since she was so fast the first time around, Mallory had to recreate her steps across the finish line so Mom could get a good picture of it.

After being a little shy at first, Mallory got her picture taken with one of her favorites, GOLDY!!!

And unlike the Gopher football team this year, the Held's found their way into the end zone...
