St. Patrick's Day - 2011

For St. Patrick's Day, the Held gang headed over to St. Paul to take in the festivities.

Everyone put on their best green clothes for an adventure.

We made it just in time to catch the end of the parade and catch some goodies as well.

Luckily HLO scored us an invite to a private tent party that had food, warmth, Irish dancers, all the Guinness that Steve could drink, and a built in designated driver.

Love Birds

One of Mallory and Dad's favorite things to do is be "lovebirds", which means doing Eskimo style kisses with their noses.
Sometimes she get a little aggressive.

And Dad clearly has an advantage when it comes to noses.

And sometimes she doesn't even need a partner at all.

Fox

I am sure based on the title of this post many of you were expecting to see a picture of Jamie here (sorry to disappoint)...

...but this is just a picture of the red fox that wanders around our yard from time to time.

Dancercise Recital - Feb. 2011

On Tuesday mornings at her daycare, Mallory and some friends gets to participate in Dancercise. Every quarter they have a big recital at school for Mom and Dad to come check out her dance moves.

On Dancercise days, Mallory usually dresses herself, including a dress or skirt that is good for doing twirls.

Watching intently at the instruction of Miss Andrea.

The recital is fun to watch, especially trying to get 10-12 3 year olds to stay on their mark.

The phrase "trying to herd cats" frequently comes to mind.

But Mallory has a blast attending class and showing off her moves at the recital, and will be taking another dance class this fall.

3rd Birthday Party

For Mallory's third birthday, we had a small gathering with immediate family at our house. Of course, there were lots of presents to be opened.

Here Mom is helping Mallory read the card for who the gift is from (or is it vice versa?)

She is checking out her new food set, which is used quite often in the "kitchen" downstairs (aka the room formerly known as Dad's Man Cave)

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!"

What little girl's birthday party would be complete without her own tiara?

And some quality time in her new Princess tent with Dad and UB.
